GPS and satellite tracking
Track vehicles, plant and assets
Digital Matter trackers supplied, fitted and supported from Townsville, reporting to the Telematics Guru platform and its mobile app. Vehicles, trailers, plant, tools and the sensors around them, on one map.
Tell us what you need to track and where it goes, and we will recommend the device and the plan.

Which tracker?
Every enquiry starts with this question. The short answers; the cards below have the long ones.
| You want to track | Fit |
|---|---|
| A car, ute or van, with nothing to install | Bolt2 |
| A vehicle or machine wired in, with driver ID or immobilisation | Dart3 BLE or G70 BLE |
| Anything that leaves mobile coverage | G150 Global |
| A trailer, skip, pump or piece of plant with no power, for years | Oyster3 or Remora3 |
| Something small: a tool, a cage, a bin | Yabby3 |
| An asset that spends time indoors or under cover | Oyster Edge or Yabby Edge Cellular |
| Hire gear or pallets, by the dozen, on a budget | Barra GPS |
| A tank level, a pump, a generator or a sensor, not a position | Hawk Pro |
Telematics Guru
The platform every device reports to: live tracking on a map, trips, geofences, alerts by push, email or SMS, reports, run hours and expenses, driver behaviour, and one-touch immobilisation on the devices that support it. The mobile app carries the same assets on a phone. DakTech sets up your organisation and your assets, and is your support desk for both.
On the web
- Live view on Google Maps, on a desktop, a tablet or a phone
- Trips, run hours, odometer and utilisation
- Geofences, movement alerts and theft recovery mode
- Scheduled and custom reports, exports and an API
- Maintenance and job reminders, driver ID and behaviour

In the app
- Every asset on a map, with direction and distance from you
- One-touch movement alerts and immobilisation
- Trips and asset history on the go
- Edit an asset, call its driver, capture an expense

Tracking hardware
Digital Matter's current range, under the names it is sold as now, with the name each one replaced beneath it. Every card links to the manufacturer's product page and to its set-up guides, and Ask about lands on our quote form with the device already filled in. Battery figures are the manufacturer's for one update a day; a device reporting hourly lasts a fraction of that.
Vehicles, fleet and plant
Powered by the vehicle, so they report every few seconds while it moves and know when the ignition is on.

Bolt2replaces the Bolt OBD
LTE-M / NB-IoT
Plug it into the OBD port and it is tracking a minute later. Live position, speeding and harsh-braking alerts, accident and rollover detection, geofences, run hours and odometer - and an alert if somebody unplugs it. The quickest way to put a whole fleet on the map.
Power Plugs into the OBD-II port; 300 mAh backup battery

Dart3 BLEreplaces the Dart 3 and Dart 2
LTE-M / NB-IoT + Bluetooth
Hard-wired into anything with a battery: cars, utes, trucks and plant. Ignition and three more inputs, an output for remote immobilisation, driver ID by Bluetooth, RFID or iButton, and a Bluetooth gateway so tagged tools and trailers travelling with the vehicle are seen too.
Power Wired, 8-33 V; backup battery
Product page (opens Digital Matter in a new tab)Set-up guides (opens the Digital Matter knowledge base in a new tab)Ask about the Dart3 BLE

G70 BLEreplaces the G62
LTE-M / NB-IoT + Bluetooth
The rugged one for the hard jobs: a sealed, IP68 wired tracker for machinery, trucks and anything that lives outdoors. Accident and rollover detection, input monitoring, remote immobilisation and a Bluetooth gateway for the sensors around it.
Power Wired, 8-33 V; 1100 mAh backup battery; IP68

G150 Globalreplaces the G120
4G Cat 1bis / 2G + optional Iridium satellite
For the places with no phone signal. Cellular where there is coverage and Iridium satellite where there is none, so a vehicle in the Gulf or a machine on a remote site reports home anyway. Extensive inputs and outputs, driver ID and remote immobilisation.
Power Wired, 8-33 V; 3500 mAh backup battery

Battery-powered asset trackers
Sealed, rugged and fit-and-forget: for trailers, plant, containers, tools and anything else with no power of its own.

Oyster3replaces the Oyster 2
LTE-M / NB-IoT
The one most of our customers end up with. Sealed, ultra-rugged and fit-and-forget: a trailer, a skip, a pump or a piece of plant reports in for years on one set of batteries. Impact detection, geofences, run hours and a recovery mode for when something walks.
Power 3 x AA lithium; up to 10 years at one update a day, about 3.5 years hourly; IP68
Product page (opens Digital Matter in a new tab)Set-up guides (opens the Digital Matter knowledge base in a new tab)Ask about the Oyster3

Oyster3 Global
4G Cat 1bis / 2G
The same Oyster3 on 4G Cat 1bis and 2G instead of LTE-M and NB-IoT, for assets that travel beyond those networks: interstate freight, shipping and anything that goes overseas.
Power 3 x AA lithium; up to 8 years at one update a day
Product page (opens Digital Matter in a new tab)Set-up guides (opens the Digital Matter knowledge base in a new tab)Ask about the Oyster3 Global

Oyster Edgereplaces the Falcon
LTE-M / NB-IoT + Bluetooth
Finds an asset indoors as well as out: GPS outside, Wi-Fi and cell-tower positioning inside, solved in the cloud so the batteries last. A Bluetooth gateway too, so tags on the tools in a van or sensors on a machine report through it.
Power 3 x AA lithium; up to 10 years at one update a day; IP68

Remora3
LTE-M / NB-IoT + Bluetooth
The longest-lived tracker in the range on two D cells, with second-by-second tracking while an asset moves, run hours and odometer, magnetic tamper alerts and a Bluetooth gateway. Built for containers, flatbed trailers and heavy equipment.
Power 2 x D cell lithium; 10+ years at one update a day
Product page (opens Digital Matter in a new tab)Set-up guides (opens the Digital Matter knowledge base in a new tab)Ask about the Remora3

Yabby3replaces the Yabby GPS
LTE-M / NB-IoT
Tiny, light and just as rugged. For the assets too small to carry anything bigger - tools, bins, cages - and for the ones you would rather nobody noticed a tracker on.
Power 3 x AAA; up to 10 years at one update a day; 90 g; IP68
Product page (opens Digital Matter in a new tab)Set-up guides (opens the Digital Matter knowledge base in a new tab)Ask about the Yabby3

Yabby Edge Cellular
LTE-M / NB-IoT
The Yabby that works indoors too: GPS, Wi-Fi and cell-tower positioning, with the position worked out in the cloud rather than on the device. Tools, pallets and equipment that move between the yard, the van and the shed.
Power 3 x AAA; up to 10 years at one update a day, about 3 years tracking on movement
Product page (opens Digital Matter in a new tab)Set-up guides (opens the Digital Matter knowledge base in a new tab)Ask about the Yabby Edge Cellular

Barra GPS
LTE-M / NB-IoT
A slim, low-cost tracker that switches on when you pull its magnet off and tells you if somebody pulls it off again. Trailers, pallets and hire equipment, by the dozen.
Power 2 x AA; 8+ years at one update a day; 149 x 51 x 21 mm
Product page (opens Digital Matter in a new tab)Set-up guides (opens the Digital Matter knowledge base in a new tab)Ask about the Barra GPS
Remote sensors and monitoring
When the question is not where something is but what it is doing.

Hawk Proreplaces the Eagle
LTE-M / NB-IoT + Bluetooth
Less a tracker than a reader: swappable input cards for SDI-12, 4-20 mA, RS-485, RS-232, 1-Wire, pulse and analog, so a tank level, a soil probe, a pump or a generator somewhere remote reports in on the same platform as the vehicles.
Power Internal battery, solar or mains, or 2 x D cell lithium
